Scoping Comments
DOT&PF has launched a National Environmental Policy Act process for the West Susitna Access Road project. The public comment period closes August 23, 2024. Alaska residents are encouraged to share their thoughts on the project’s plan to build an approximately 22-mile road to improve access to 6 million acres of undeveloped land in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. The road would connect to the existing road system and open up the area for recreation, tourism, and potential future development.
